Burj Khalifa (known during construction as Burj Dubai) - the
world's tallest building opened January 4, 2010. CUSTOM® Building
Products was selected to provide tile and stone installation and
protective products in different areas of the building including
Custom's VersaBond Flex® Fortified
Thin-Set Adhesive and CEG 2000™
100% Solids Commercial Epoxy Grout. Custom also supplied Aqua Mix
Ultra Solv® and Enrich’N’Seal™
sealers. Furthermore, in an effort to reduce complexity,
the contractor wanted a
single adhesive for all tile and stone installations,
regardless of type or substrate, which was a significant
challenge especially in the extreme hot weather conditions of Dubai.
Compounding that challenge, the installers were accustomed to working
with mud bed mortars, not thin-sets, and needed to avail
themselves of CUSTOM® Building Products
comprehensive technical support
program.

CUSTOM®
CEG 2000™ 100% Solids Commercial Epoxy
Grout
A 2-part, 100% solids blend of epoxies
and aggregates used for the grouting and setting of various tiles
and pavers over a wide variety of substrates. It delivers a grout that
is easy to work, uniform in colour and colourfast, is
exceptionally stain resistant, impermeable, and non-flammable. As a
mortar it is and very high in strength and shock resistance,
and is very resistant to acids, alkalies and most
solvents and offers maximum protection against staining and
chemical attack from food, beverages, chemicals and cleaning agents.
It is not affected by prolonged contact with water, but does not
necessarily form a waterproof barrier unless special precautions are
taken to maintain a continuous film of epoxy mortar 2.4 mm thick
with no gaps or voids.

AQUA MIX
UltraSolv® Sealer
Is a premium, no
sheen, natural look, solvent based, penetrating sealer formulated to
provide maximum stain protection, especially in food preparation and
serving areas. May also be used as a pregrouting sealer. Allows
moisture vapor transmission. It is also an excellent grout
sealer.

AQUA MIX
Enrich'N'Seal™ Sealer
Is a premium, no sheen,
enhanced look 100% Polymer solid, penetrating sealer formulated to
darken, enrich, and highlight the character and beauty of unsealed
natural stone. It rejuvenates the color and improves the appearance of
worn and weathered stone. May also be used as a pregrouting sealer.
Allows moisture vapour transmission. It also effectively seals and
darkens the color of grout
joints.
