During the 1960s, five tile factories in Spain's historically rich ceramic region of Castellon came together to form TAU Ceramica. Their primary aim was to make and glaze red body tiles and with the introduction of single-firing, TAU was transformed into a full, single-fire tile manufacturer. Today, TAU also produces high performance porcelain as well as red and white body single-fire, wall and floor tiles.

Today, the TAU product range covers wall and floor tile, in both traditional ceramics and porcelain, and in a wide range of modules from standard 20x20, 30x30, 40x40 and 45x45cm to 30x60 60x60 and 60x120cm. Through innovation TAU is invariably first on the market with new looks and techniques such as the universally acclaimed Metallica range of alumina-silica oxide glazes.

TAU is focused on manufacturing innovative ceramic tiles and this focus has been realised through huge financial investment in plant and technology. TAU has one of the most technically advanced tile manufacturing plants in the world and is always one of the first to install the latest technology and machinery.
